Periodic Inspections of Cryogenic Plants
Coordination, preparation and technical execution from a single source.
RAK coordinates, prepares and technically executes the work required for periodic inspections of helium and cryogenic plants. Inspections requiring an approved inspection body (ZÜS) are carried out in cooperation with TÜV Hessen.
RAK approaches the helium plant as a complete system. We technically prepare the plant, carry out the required plant work, coordinate all parties involved, support the ZÜS inspection and subsequently restore the plant to an operational condition.
Depending on customer requirements, the plant is handed over ready for operation or RAK supports it through recommissioning and, where required, until cold operation is established.

Scope of Services
- complete preparation of helium and cryogenic plants
- pressure vessels and pressure-retaining systems
- piping
- safety devices
- high-pressure cylinders, bundles and vessels at 200 and 300 bar
- acoustic emission testing of suitable high-pressure systems within the applicable inspection concept
- technical support during the ZÜS inspection
- restoration of the operational condition
- recommissioning and, where required, cool-down of the plant
Safety Valves
Safety valve testing is carried out in cooperation with a specialised inspection partner. RAK coordinates its integration into the overall scope.
Delineation
TÜV Hessen is the approved inspection body (ZÜS). RAK provides coordination, preparation, technical execution, plant work, inspection support and recommissioning; inspections reserved for the ZÜS are performed by TÜV Hessen.
